Delivery was timely, item came in the right package, no damage due to shipping. Received display case came exactly as described, color matched the picture. Case is beautiful, does not look nor feel cheap. It is already housing part of the collection.Hanging the case on a wall required precision. Keyhole hangers on the back of the case are not exactly forgiving. Make sure you measure the distance right, this will save you time and frustration.I would buy again if I need another one.

The display case is very nice and well finished. I like it. BUT, one of the features I wanted was "lockable". My unit came with 2 keys and the door has two clips with key holes, but the keys do not go in and I have never been able to figure out how to lock it. I filed one of the keys until it would go in, and I managed to lock it, but then I could not unlock it. I finally got it unlocked but vowed to not try to lock it again. If locking is important to you, this one could be a problem.

I was looking for a cabinet and this has proved to be great value for the money. I want to order another but it's no longer on revain Prime and I don't want to pay $28 to have it shipped. I hope they get some more on Prime soon.in fact I'll probably buy two. I think someone said they were no walls screws and I thought the same, until I found them at the bottom of the box after I had already hung it with my own!

I prefer the O scale size for my HO scale cars. I previously ordered the HO scale cabinet but found its depth really tight for the cars that I have. The O scale size works much better and allows for more room. The finish and quality were excellent, along with the packing material used to protect the cabinet during shipment. The only things that i would suggest would be to provide hangar hardware that would accept larger screws and I would make the cabinet a 2 to 3 inches wider / longer so that…

I wish that it had a hinge to hold the front glass door open. Hard to put trains away or take out holding the door open with one of your hands.

I bought this case to display both British and American models. British OO (1/76th scale) and US/Continental HO (1/87th scale) are about the same size due to the smaller British loading gauge. The shelves have lips about 1/8" high. I wanted to display the trains on track but found that although the shelf is deep enough to accomodate the HO track the lip put the track too near the back. These cabinets are far better than we expected. The workmanship is outstanding, easy to hang/install on the wall that included the necessary hardware for installation and they are very attractive on our den wall. We would absolutely purchase these cabinets again. They are beautiful.

Once I saw the provided hardware, I questioned the wisdom of mounting it on wall and trusting a few thousand $$ of trains to the drywall mounts.the mounts on the display are pre installed and are not the same distance as the studs on the walls.my solution was to remove bottom latches and put it on a side table top, and then use the wall mounts in addition to that.to keep it from falling forward.I also put some furniture "stick on” scuff pads under the base so that the door (which opens upwards)

This is a very good quality cabinet! I received it in perfect condition and was very excited to hang it on the wall and display some very valuable trains in it. The display is awesome and I am very pleased with this cabinet! Don't worry about the negative comments about the locks! If you really want to lock this cabinet then get some serious locks. If you put it up in your basement or shop who cares about the locks? Works for me and I'm very happy with my purchase!

This is a great cabinet but there are a few little pit falls. The locking mechanism is a little hard and could be better. Make sure when removing the packing from the glass you don't scratch the glass. Plus there was some gung that was hard to remove off of the glass. Seems easy to scratch. I wish I got a larger one. May end up buying another.

Great display case. I was surprised that it was as nice as it is. You will want to purchase additional hardware to hang this to the wall as it is heavy and with the added weight of what’s going in the display it would be a great candidate for crashing to the floor after pulling out from the drywall. My only gripe is that the hooks on back are very small and do not accommodate oversized screws.

I found the other reviews to be very helpful. I strongly suggest reading all of the them. The caveats that others spoke of were spot-on. My two cases came quite quickly, within 3 days in spite of the automatic notification suggesting otherwise (7-10 days or so). Unlike one reviewer's experience, mine were reasonably clean; there was nothing a paper towel and Windex couldn't handle. This case is not deep enough to put a track piece on each shelf and then put the HO scale trains on the track. The HO trains will only fit if they are placed directly on the track.I guess I'll have to build one myself - I thought the ad was a bit misleading.

Great gift for that train collector in your life. Got it for my Father as a Christmas gift. He mounted it just below his track, so he can display the cars he is not using.

This product turned out to be a terribly disappointment. It is supposed to display HO model trains, but the shelving is extremely cramped. Also the wall mounting is exceedingly difficult to get right.Depth of the shelves is barely 1¼ inches, so forget about laying an attractive cork roadbed under your track (a 2 inch requirement). I always wonder what I going to receive without putting my hands on it. The cabinet was delivered in perfect condition. It is already up and the trains are available for viewing. I would recommend this cabinet to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced display case. Why didn’t I give it 5 stars? I don’t like plastic so I replaced the window with glass. Also in all fairness, it is difficult to ship glass because of the possibility breakage. Great price for a great cabinet.

I've purchased smaller cases for N/Z scale and they're great. Seems as though the slats inside the case are weak. They can't support the normal light weight of the HO cars along the entire slat let alone locomotives.
