I’m an advanced artist. I’m using these for oil paints, watercolor and colored pencil when I use solvent to blend my drawings. They hold up great in all media. I bought several sets because I like having more than one brush of the same size, they are great for detail. They are medium firm. They hold their shape well during Use and after washing. There is not one thing I don’t love about this planner. The texture is very smooth almost velvety, the flowers against the black really pop and make you smile. I love how it has a month view with a quote as well as the week option to write in what you need for that day. The elastic is always a plus for me because I am constantly putting other papers in my planner. Unlike many reviewers I found the diverter to work fine. As colonoscopy prep, my problem was instead with the narrower nozzle, which is poorly designed. The edge of the nozzle hole is sharp. The curve of the side at the tip is not enough to prevent scraping. I thought if water comes out of the nozzle during insertion, a thin layer of water would separate the sharp edge from the skin, but I was wrong. Threw mine away and am looking for a replacement attachment to avoid buying another full kit.See full review

Its true not all hardware is the same. These are hardened button head bolts. These costs me just .08 cents each, I had been paying .25 cents each prior, for essentially the same hardware (protech).Pro Tip: these come with light machine oil to prevent rust. I bought this case to display both British and American models. British OO (1/76th scale) and US/Continental HO (1/87th scale) are about the same size due to the smaller British loading gauge. The shelves have lips about 1/8" high. I wanted to display the trains on track but found that although the shelf is deep enough to accomodate the HO track the lip put the track too near the back. I recently had a new fence and gate installed. The fence posts were metal and as a result instead of the gate swinging in to open it swings out. I wanted to be able to lock the gate from the inside so I attached the sliding bolt gate lock to the top of the gate and adjacent fence.
