Surprised my hunter

My son in law and his family are life long hunters. I got these to surprise him and he surprised me by knowing this product and their mission. I got the biggest HUG! Any product that makes you an awesome mother in law get 10 outta 10 stars! Not to mention it can save a life also.

Pros
  • Saved and stored for travel/hiking use.
Cons
  • The LifeStraw doesn’t accommodate flavor or nutrient enhancers, potentially affecting the taste of the water

It fits, it's sturdy and looks nice

Don't risk an imitation get this one. Too bad the other filter company doesn't make a case to fit their product too. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • essential earthquake kit item
Cons
  • The straw can be difficult to use in shallow water sources or smaller pools

Emergencies best in my review

I haven’t used it yet but it’s a very important addition to my bug-out bag. ‘Water is life’ as they say. Blessings That's my review.

Pros
  • This water filtration straw does everything it says it does. Absolute great value for the quality.
Cons
  • The product can be difficult to use in areas with high levels of aquatic plant or algae growth

Stopped working after the 3rd use

These worked great the first couple times we used them and then the eventual stopped working. We followed the directions on how to properly get a suction going and how to properly clean them after each use and they still stopped working. They worked great and filtered the water and tasted great coming out the other end!

Pros
  • You have to really coddle this thing so as not to clog the delicate filter.
Cons
  • The straw can be difficult to use with certain types of water sources, such as brackish or semi-saline waters

Easy to use! for my opinion

The Lifestraw is a perfect fit for easy water purification in an intuitive, effective package. The lifestraw is convenient for backpacking. The device is small and lightweight. It requires less time and knowledge than many other methods of purification. I could see this as being useful for backpackers, campers, and those folks with "bug out bags" ready for an apocalypse.

Pros
  • Does it’s job as advertised which is amazing great for hiking camping or for your big out kit
Cons
  • The LifeStraw only filters out biological contaminants, so it’s not effective against harmful chemicals or radiological elements

Bigger Than I Thought, But Feel sSturdy

This was larger than I thought it would be. Feels super sturdy. Hope to never use it but I love knowing I have it for my bugout bag.

Pros
  • We keep them on the side by side.. and in are off road bags.
Cons
  • Aun no lo uso y la tapa comenzo a romperse, espero que sea un buen filtro

Could be a life saver. Facing war consequences i know it.

Nice product which may save your life one day. Hope this day will never happened. Otherwise, will provide you with safe water during camping and trailing. Ordered some and donated to Ukrainian army.

Pros
  • the water up.. it sucks the water up.. and even cleans/filters it too!
Cons
  • In disaster situations, crowds could easily overwhelm the LifeStraw’s capacity to filter water

Purchased as a Gift - Workability unknown

I purchased this as a gift for someone who is a hiker. The packaging is fine and color is nice. Other than that I can’t tell you how well it works.

Pros
  • Like stated in the headline, Hopefully these are worth the hype and perform when needed.
Cons
  • The product may not be effective against certain strains of harmful bacteria or viruses that have developed resistance to antibiotics or other treatments

Survival bag on my review.

I have not use this product yet. As the title mentioned, bought the item to add to my survival go bag.Since I don’t need it at the moment I did not opened it. In case of going camping or to the wilderness I will purchase another one.

Pros
  • Works like a dream esp in dire circumstances
Cons
  • The water filtered through the LifeStraw isn’t necessarily pure, as impurities such as dust and dirt can still be present

All 5 Lifestraws: my feedback

I received all 5 Lifestraws as described. Note: All 5 loose packaged in a generic cardboard box. Each unit appears intact with end caps in place and cord/ lanyard connected. (not hermetically sealed). I have not tested yet.

Pros
  • We keep them on the side by side.. and in are off road bags.
Cons
  • The straw requires a certain level of physical exertion to use, which may be difficult for some users

Better than dying - my new review

Works but need to suck as obviously goes through a filter. To drink a lot would be hard. Used my ceramic pump instead. Again better than dying

Pros
  • I bought this to throw in an emergency pack. 5000 gallons. Great price. No brainer.
Cons
  • The LifeStraw only filters out bacteria and protozoa, so it’s not effective against viruses or chemicals

Cons
  • The product requires proper handling and storage to prevent damage or contamination

Convenient - my new review

Have not used them of yet however look better then okey I've had previously. They are in my bug out bag and hiking back pack

Pros
  • I bought this to have handy in case of an emergency. It's as good as they say it is. it's great!
Cons
  • The LifeStraw may not be effective against certain species of harmful bacteria or protozoa that are naturally resistant to filtration and disinfection methods

It fits, it's sturdy and looks nice

Don't risk an imitation get this one. That's my review. Too bad the other filter company doesn't make a case to fit their product too.

Pros
  • I bought the product for an emergency bag, and I hope that I never have to use it.
Cons
  • The LifeStraw is only effective for filtering water, leaving other contaminants and viruses untouched

This will not connect to my water bottles , maybe my life straw is defective? What can I say. I hope it filters the water and I'm just having a tough time finding the right water bottle. Would be five star if it actually attached to either one of my water bottles.

Pros
  • Smaller than I expected but looks good.
Cons
  • The device can be difficult to use in areas with high levels of pollution or industrial contamination

Rather unsure, have not used yet. Expense involved to try- will maybe use faith in the advertising. Perhaps all of the mfgrs. should offer a 1 gal. sample tryout at a reduced cost to secure its value to customer.

Pros
  • Like stated in the headline, Hopefully these are worth the hype and perform when needed.
Cons
  • The product is not suitable for use with saltwater sources, such as ocean water

Survival Gear: my feedback

LifeStraw Personal Water Filter are a must have for my type of work where we are dropped by helicopter, boat or plane into very remote areas and have to depend on what we carry on our back for survival, possibly for extended periods of time.

Pros
  • I bought this to have handy in case of an emergency. It's as good as they say it is. it's great!
Cons
  • The water filtered through the straw is not guaranteed to be sterile or free of all bacteria or impurities

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Peace of mind good for me

Hopefully I’m not ever in a situation to use this. But having it on hand is great Peace of mind. You never know when your local water supply could be interrupted and the ability to filter out impurities is awesome.

Pros
  • Purchased for an emergency since our local water seems to be on a boil alert often.
Cons
  • The LifeStraw can be difficult to use in low-light or nighttime conditions
