A little heavier than expected for everyday use. Each plate is beautifully different. Excellent in the dishwasher. Packaged so well that everything arrived in pristine condition. There was one plate which, while not cracked or broken, had a small defect on the rim of the plate. I wrote to customer service in the morning and they had a new number plate in the afternoon. I liked them so much I ordered a second set of 4!
