Two pedals completely overhauled my old Schwinn 126 exercise bike

tl;dr: look no further; excellent pedals; For quick results, check that you are ordering the correct size. My Schwinn 126 exercise bike lasted 9/16 inches. Background: I have been using an ergometer regularly since 2014; I can now cross train for an hour a day at one of the higher resistance levels and do the equivalent of 18-19 miles per ride. I bought my Schwinn 126 exercise bike used on Craigslist in mid-2014; I think he was at least two or three years old then. Because now he's probably a 10 year old bike. , as I drove, the banging and grinding began to get louder and louder. Recently it got so bad it shook my knees and I started buying a new used bike. But since I'm cheap (note buying on Craigslist) I investigated the problem a little more closely and decided it wasn't coming from the flywheel or anything in the bike but from the only other moving part, the pedals (little online research information revealed that the system's magnetic swivels very rarely fail in this way.) So I ordered these pedals. This is a very easy replacement and the new pedals fit easily. Remember that the left pedal screws in counter-clockwise, so it's "right loose, left tight" (opposite of normal) for this pedal. Brand new. Suddenly it got quiet. Turns out ALL the noise was coming from the old pedals! However, the jingling and rattling is somewhat lacking; it drowned out my gasps and gasps lol. A minor inconvenience is that these pedals tend to flip when unloaded. So I have to dig around a bit to get each foot in place. It's such a small thing, but now I look at the bike and both pedals are upside down. With my right foot, I can just step on the pedal to spin and slide in; My left leg is not so coordinated. More hi-hat practice for me! I wear 10 4E shoes and there is only one additional adjustment slot on the ankle straps for the widest adjustment. If you have normal feet these straps will likely work for you; If you have copepods like me, you'll probably be fine. If you have yeti feet or like to ride in work boots, it might be more toe straps than ankle straps. Since I just installed the pedals, I'm not rating durability. And I check them before every ride to make sure they haven't come loose; They've been rock solid so far, but I never know. The safety clown will check the equipment before you sit down to ride to prevent injury.
