These chairs have replaced some of the 5 year old gold medal gloss vinyl beanbags. They are a lot cheaper and appear to be a lot stronger! The gold medal beanbags had the same flimsy zippers you see on the back of the dress, but they had a big, solid zipper and velcro closure on top of that! Not a single bean will ever seep through all of this. Also, older gold medals had an issue where after a year or so the vinyl would begin to tear and the flannel backing would become visible. They're more like heavy upholstery leather, so I doubt they'll tear! If they end up breaking I'll edit that, but I've got a few weeks and they're going strong. Another reviewer mentioned that they have a strong smell. They definitely were when I first got them. I hung them on the window for a few days and they are gone. It wasn't a toxic smell, just a large piece of plastic that pretty much resembled a leather beanbag. around these sizes or smaller, it will probably work for you. The shape of the chair is also good, because you can flatten the pointed part, turning it into a comfortable backrest, or flatten it, giving it a round, regular rattle shape.
