    Another smooth transaction

    I had to send it back because the charger didn't fit the charging slot but that was my fault. I told my wife to get me a new Surface Pro charger but I didn't know which one. The transaction went smoothly, the delivery is excellent, the return is very easy.

    Identical to original but longer

    Need to replace my original surface power plug. Works great and can be used with an extra length or shortened, it has an external adapter for shorter distances. ideal

    Fits my Surface Pro 2

    I used it straight away and it charged my Surface Pro 2 pretty quickly so I don't know how it drives. I've found in the past that I'm the type of person who folds up my chargers and uses velcro to hold them together so the cable doesn't get tangled or come in contact with things that could damage the cable. I'm not usually the type to switch cables frequently.

    Just as good as the original with a longer power cord

    The product seems to work just as well as the original (I use it on the original Surface Pro) and comes with a much longer power cord from the transformer to the outlet. This is especially nice in hotels where the outlet is far from the desk. It also has a USB port on the transformer for charging a cellphone or other device. The item was also well packaged and delivered quickly.

    Bad design for computers and accessories

    I have replaced some of these. The cable detaches where it exits the main charging box. The same goes for the Surface Pro 2, 3, and 4 models. Adding a sleeve to protect the cable in that area would have made it much more durable. This would be nice, or separating them, like plugs, stranded wires, etc., in order to extend the service life. For the price, you can't beat this generic brand.

    Fits Surface Pro 2

    The charger works well as a replacement for my original charger for the Surface Pro 2. However, I did notice that the light on the end of the charging connector stays on all the time when it's plugged in is. With the original charger the light goes off after a while while charging - I assumed this indicated that the device was fully charged and charging had gone into float mode. I'm not sure if this charger keeps charging after the device is fully charged or not.

    My SURFACE PRO 2, which I bought in 2014, needed a replacement USB CHARGING ADAPTER because it broke where the cable meets the 5-pin metal tab attached to the tablet is attached.
