I have replaced some of these. The cable detaches where it exits the main charging box. The same goes for the Surface Pro 2, 3, and 4 models. Adding a sleeve to protect the cable in that area would have made it much more durable. This would be nice, or separating them, like plugs, stranded wires, etc., in order to extend the service life. For the price, you can't beat this generic brand.
