I used them on my media panel and switched my phone lines to Ethernet (Cat5e cables). They print both A and B wiring diagrams on the page to help with correct hookup. All you have to do is ensure that your network uses the same diagram and you will be fine. I also use Leviton connectors which makes installation even easier as they use the same cable color coding scheme so choosing a connection scheme (A or B) is easy to stay consistent across the network. When you've finished tying the wire with the tool provided, simply trim the excess wire and snap the black cap over it. Since it's a quick release only, don't expect it to be strong enough to be used in an environment where the cable moves a lot as it doesn't have a built in lock.
