Many of the reviews here are accurate. You won't be able to handle hot items for more than a few seconds (eg, cast iron skillet in a 375F oven) and probably won't work well for those with big hands.

These gloves look clumsy at first however they were much easier to use than anticipated. They are very heat resistant and easy to clean. Have not used them with barbecuing yet but on the stove and oven they are fantastic. If they are greasy they do get a little slippery

This is a great product to grab your meat and rotated around on a smoker or in the oven or anything like that. To use it to grab a pan or anything else at 400° or more I would not hold onto it that long as you will see. I bought them to use on my smoker so I can rotate and season my meat. Great product for that!

I love these gloves. I was concerned that they would be too large and cumbersome for me as my hand is small, size 6.5, but the way they are made they work for me just fine and are comfortable. So happy to be able to just grab that hot oven rack and pull it out and pick up a large casserole being confident that it is not going to slip out of my hands. Yippee!

I use heat proof gloves for grilling and smoking. The advantages of these gloves are:1] Reasonable heat protection2] Very good finger mobility3] Easy to have a good grip on your tools while wearing the gloves.However, the length of the gloves does not extend far past the wrists. If you are needing heat protection on your lower arms - you will be disappointed.Overall, I'm happy with the gloves. these gloves are perfect, I use them when I'm cooking large meat on my Traeger grill. I can reach in and grab whatever I'm cooking to flip it or remove it. After your done just go and wash your hands (gloves) and there good to go for the next time. I have stuck my hands in the Traeger when the temperature was 500 degrees and never felt the heat. I can honestly say there are no cons to these gloves. They work perfectly for what I bought them for. I would highly recommend these.

For many years, I had thick woven gloves for cooking jobs that didn't require my elbow-length oven mitts. Those woven gloves finally wore out, and I am so glad I chose to replace them with these silicone gloves. They are much more heat resistant, and to clean them I just wipe the stain with a sponge. The first thing I noticed when I put on these gloves is the thumb is too short and the webbing on all of the fingers is too high so it's impossible for your hand to fit securely in the glove.
