After doing many reviews from other steam oven owners, I saw silicone was highly recommended. I was tired of being burnt by the ones you find at every retail store. I have to say that in the steam oven, I was able to retrieve my dish without feeling any heat from the dish, but it was a bit awkward with the glove size and I ended up burning myself on the top of my arm. I decided to try it with my convection oven, but this time, I felt the heat of the dish between the thumb and index finger when moving it from the oven to the countertop. Overall, I wouldn't say these would be my first pick of silicone gloves to order again, but so far that are better than the retail potholders I typically bought in the past.
