The first thing I noticed when I put on these gloves is the thumb is too short and the webbing on all of the fingers is too high so it's impossible for your hand to fit securely in the glove. The palm and wrist areas need to be tighter so the fit is more like a glove than oven mitt. Also the description on Walmart is misleading. It says the gloves are heat resistant up to 475 degrees, but the paperwork that came with the gloves said heat resistent to 425 degrees. I could feel just a tiny bit of heat come through when handling a pan at 375 degrees for 10 seconds, but haven't tried it on anything over 400 degrees.I like that you can wear them on either hand, are washable and the soft lining inside is a plus. I think these gloves could be a hit if they redesign the shape so they fit more like a glove than mitt and offer them in a few different sizes. I won't send the gloves back and will continue to use them, but unless they change the design I cannot recommend them.
