Matching replacement for MultiPure RO drinking water system Reverse osmosis element body

I have a fairly old MultiPure RO drinking water system. The old reverse osmosis element body is stuck and cannot be opened as there is no convenient way to hold the smooth round body while removing the cover with a wrench. The only way out was to buy a new house. This case works great. It also has tabs to hold onto when attaching or removing the cover. I used a reverse osmosis element from Dow Filmtec https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LMFV7Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which fits perfectly and works well. Unfortunately, no installation information is included with this case. The method is not obvious, also because the hose nozzles are different than in the MultiPure system. In the MultiPure system, each port has a threaded ring that holds the tubing to each port on the RO body. They differ from the connectors used elsewhere. A reviewer posted a very helpful overview here that explains in part, for example, that the pink ring plug is the tax value plug you would use for a sewer hookup. However, this is not enough. The case comes with 6 small horseshoe shaped plastic parts. I'm assuming they're meant to hold the hose connectors in place, but there's no info to suggest that. Luckily the threaded holes in the case match the fittings used in the MultiPure system so I used those original fittings and everything works fine. The MultiPure system has its own non-return valve in the water line and an air-gap non-return valve. Please note that the cap does not need to be tightened to prevent leakage. Tighter than freehand, tighten but not too tight; You hardly need a wrench to tighten it enough. It seems to have good padding and a good fit.

Cons
