NANPU DFR-02 1/4" NPT Air Drying System - Double Air Filters, Air Pressure Regulator Combo - Semi-Auto Drain, Poly Bowl Review

I used this air drying system for a blasting media cabinet. I did not expect it to be as small as it is, but that takes nothing away from its effectiveness. It has demonstrated that it can collect water coming from my air compressor; as it should.Installation is easy, but instructions for adjusting its operating PSI are minimal. I read the small print twice or more and figured it out.The kit comes with everything needed for installation. It's been working perfectly.

This took me about 10 minutes to install. I installed it 25 feet away from the compressor, it’s only been in use for a couple hours run time but I have no complaints.

The filters themselves are nice , easy to flip the bracket around for left to right install, compact perfect for my small compressor, it’s exactly what I needed

Was disappointed that the picture shows one setup and the one I got was the reverse. Hoping it works. Was easy to install.

I have a finned cooler and a large filter ahead of these, but still get water carry-over on some days. I installed branch piping between the filters and regulator. Flow restriction across the filters is acceptable for my purposes. There is a definite flow pressure drop across the regulator. It needs to be adjusted according to the flow demand. The threads on one of the ports were a bit oversized and required extra care to seal.

Not so well on tankless systems. After 2-3 minutes on a tankless line it overcomes with water and vapor comes out of line. Has to be drained and ran again. The regulator is HORRIBLE! you have to turn it 50x to achieve your max pressure. Husky is 10x and its 0-150psi.If you have a tank and want dry air for your LVLP or HVLP spray gun then this works well, but not for commercial use. Home use is fine.

Installation was straightforward and the unit is leak free when the regulator is turned up all the way (I use an inline regulator at the tool). The description on Revain called it a "filter dryer" but the instructions call it a "filter lubricator." It appears to have zero utility as an air dryer. The sintered metal filters and bowl trap design work well for removing solids and maybe coalesced liquid, but there is no desiccant or ability to add desiccant. I still get showers of moisture when…

Works as designed. I specifically ordered this one as we needed 3/8 fitting for our tools. When it arrive it DID NOT come with the 3/8 fitting. While this was an "easy fix" it did require us to visit our local home supply store for the proper fitting.

Product was better than the original part, made of heavy metal, and functioned perfectly, very humid in area right now but device pulls 99.9% of moisture out of compressed air stream and self drains when air pressure is below +/- 10 PSI

It leaked between valve/gauge and filters. Luckily it was just assembled wrong and O ring was not in correct groove causing leak. Repositioned O ring and no leaks.

the drain on one of the bowls doesn't work at all so it just fills up with water. i have to drain the whole compressor tank to pull the bowl off and drain the water out.

Bought for my plasma CNC . I haven't had a chance to install it yet but I have another one on my compressor and it works great

I purchased two of these units to replace two older regulators and add additional filtration. The units work fine BUT the gauge threads are not long enough or the regulator sides need corrected to allow the gauge to securely thread into the port tight. I had to add a close nipple which required a coupler to properly tighten into the gauge port. Issue is- The gauge now sticks out quite a bit. Look at this thing in my hand. It's like a toy. The review photo with the air compressor that has a blue bar on it makes this look full size. It's a tiny little toy, like for an airbrush. Jokes on me.

The product was fine except for the fact that the pressure gauge leaked air no matter what I did. The air was not leaking out of the fitting but the housing of the gauge. I couldn't find a number to contact for help and I didn't want to send it back since it was installed so ended up upgrading the pressure gauge on my own dime.

I mean, yeah, there's a slow leak from the o-ring at the top of the first filter bowl but that's it. I'm going to try to seal that o-ring better, maybe larger, maybe wrap it or coat it with teflon paste and failing that, I'm going to install a ball valve at the pressure switch to cut air to the unit when not in use. Does a good job of filtering and notice water being trapped, but it has a constant slow leak from the back side of the regulator.

I purchased this to set up my compressor for basic air tools. Seems to work good and compared to the price that any big box store it's a steal. 0 complaints after 1 month.

Make sure you use plenty of Teflon tape, fittings leak, and parts of the body leaks so I had to do some fixing. That's my feedback.

Like many others have said, it leaks. It’s a minor leak, but it’s audible and it’s annoying. It makes my 60 gallon compressor kick on every hour or so. Otherwise, it has been working fine.
