🏠 Aprilaire 213 Whole House Air Filter: Advanced Filtration for Purifiers Review

Purchased 2210 carrier from Aprilair that came with 213 (merv13) filter. Noticed super clean air but reduced airflow. Bad for blowers. And sucks less dirt into the air. Bought the 210 (merv11) which offers better airflow and still clean air. My nose was stuffed with 210 but not 213.

My negative - I only recently realized that I had received 3 (not 4) filters months after purchase, after getting the filters from the had taken box. at once, as needed. The packaging material that I thought was hiding the 4th filter didn't hide anything - just the packaging material. Lesson learned - next time I will not assume the order was as advertised and will count the items as I receive them.

This product fits my Aprilaire unit perfectly as expected. However, the seller only sent the filters in the original packaging, not in corrugated cardboard. The boxes were in very bad shape when the filters arrived and I almost returned them. The filters aren't very damaged, but the ends near the box holes were frayed and dirty. They must be packed in a corrugated box for shipping.

What don't you like? Aprilaire filters do the job. We've been using the Aprilaire system for 12 years now and it really helps maintain air quality by returning the air conditioning. The older type had a plastic frame to which the filter was firmly attached. The new version has a reusable metal frame as shown in the picture. Looks like original OEM filter. But based on the feedback I received from the technician who performed my annual maintenance, be careful not to end up with old stock. The fabric used to be glued to a plastic frame, but after a while, especially at high temperatures, the fabric came off and stopped working normally. This is a replacement filter for the April Aire oven filter cartridge. Having had an April Aire filter rack for several years, this expandable filter is easier to install than the old comb filters that required you to insert about 50 comb rods into each filter pleat - a nightmare.
