Instructions are blank and only shown for wired wall mounting, you need to strip and connect wires and know what to do with neutral. I'm not an electrician and don't know, and the instructions don't show these connections for using an outlet. They are also super tiny to read and I have good eyesight. I have done a lot with my hands and I am not comfortable with this product. And the return window is 30 days, so by the time I finished swiping and moving and trying to install it, it was too late. Also, the wall screws have flat ends, so you'll need to pre-drill the stud. I really just wanted a hanging lamp next to the bed, not a huge expense. Poor design and product, if you don't know anything about electrics don't worry.
