Surprisingly reliable, very powerful and quiet.

I've only had this inverter for about a week but so far I'm very impressed. I usually wait a few months before writing reviews, but I really wanted to share my opinion. Also let me say that I've never been a fan of inverters in general because they always fail or fail due to constant alarms. Also, let me say that ANY inverter is only as good as the battery you connect it to. You won't be able to get the rated power if the batteries can't handle it. My setup in my mobile service truck is as follows: 9 Group 31 batteries (950 cold cranking amps each, although not a positive amp hour rating) are connected upstream of my service truck's charging system. In fact, the batteries are charged whenever the truck is turned on. From there I have a 4/0 battery wire going from the batteries to the inverter and from the inverter I have 12 AWG wiring that powers my truck with AC power. Now this inverter can operate the following, of course not all at the same time, but still: - air compressor - vacuum pump - oil pump with 3/4 HP. - 4 fluorescent lamps (total 256 W) - Microwave oven - Electric band heater (power 1500 W) - Electric hot air gun (1000 W) - Electric meat grinder - Recovery machine -. The air compressor was my biggest problem as it requires a huge surge of electricity to start. The air compressor ramps up to 152 amps (18,240 watts) for just a split second on startup, then drops to 13 amps (1560 watts). I'm surprised this inverter can handle it. I haven't had a single problem so far. Basically, this inverter can power everything in my truck. Very very impressed. Now you can turn everything on at once and I don't have to, but this inverter can certainly support its weight and is useful for its power rating. I also think that because it's a pure sine wave inverter, everything runs smoother and smoother. With the modified sine wave inverter, I noticed some hum from electrical equipment, to the point where I was concerned about damaging the equipment. In addition, this inverter has a built-in "standby mode". This means that the inverter has a minimum consumption (25W) until an electrical load is detected, which then "wakes up" the inverter and starts delivering power. After all consumers have been switched off, it returns to standby mode. This feature is also very impressive. At the beginning of the day I turn on the light (it takes a few seconds for the inverter to recognize the load), then the inverter starts up and runs with no problems. At the end of the day I turn off the lights and the inverter turns off. Great. I have not yet tested the charging aspect of this inverter. As I mentioned before, this setup is on my truck so the batteries are always charged. Sounds like a good idea. All in all, you shouldn't have any problems with this device as long as you have a good battery and properly sized cables. Again, I've only had this for a week, but it has amazed me at how well it works. If anything changes I will definitely update this review. I hope that was helpful.
