Suitable for iPad 2. The second iPad released. As in 2011/12. I was looking for that and found it here. It was cheap enough to buy as Apple estimates this iPad model to cost around $3. I use an iPad in my truck mounted on a ram mount and have connected it to my phone's hotspot so I can listen to my music and also use google maps on a screen I can actually see. It was nice to be able to connect my Ford SYNC to my iPad instead of my phone as I hate making calls on it. Now my phone isn't connected to my truck, but since the iPad is connected, I can hear music from Pandora and my iTunes library, as well as directions, through the truck's speakers. With this case, the iPad feels a little more protected and sits better in the Ram Mount.
