Bought this to have on a recent trip to archeologic sites in very hot, sunny climate conditions. I needed it just about every day, as the sun was bright and reflected off the sand and stones as well. The jacket is very light, so I did not feel suffocated/hot wearing it in the sun over a S/S shirt. It also packed well into a small stuff sack that I got so it was at hand when needed. As some Reviews have noted, the cut is generous, but it is not baggy. I selected a size Small and it is fine. The generous cut is really helpful with air circulation while wearing it in 95-100* conditions., and makes it easier to put on over wet skin if using after swimming. This jacket also has set-in pockets which I prefer to some of the sun jackets that have patch pockets. Patch pockets tend to sag and bag and are not as secure when traveling.
