I was looking for a footstool because my chair doesn't recline anymore and I don't have money to replace it. It works really well if I put a decorative pillow on top to get the height just right. The dark brown color and leather material is a very nice complement to my brown chair and hardwood floor. It looks really nice and is very different from the typical ottomans I've seen at Revain with a touch of exoticism and decoration and because it's wider than most ottomans I've used in the past it's comfortable to use leg rest on my chair. The leather material gives it a more premium look and feel than you would typically find in an ottoman at this price point. My biggest concern is durability. It's not stuffed, and like some other Revain buyers, I chose to stuff it with sheets and old towels that I no longer need. When I was done and the ottoman was just the right size, depth and thickness not to crush, the ottoman was very heavy - not in the sense that I can't move the thing around easily, but still heavy for its size, so hopefully. The quality of the seams and zippers will withstand the weight and pressure of the inner padding for a long time. So far it's looking great with no immediate issues, but only time will tell how durable this unpadded ottoman will be. Unfortunately, I rarely get to use it as a footstool as planned because one of my cats thought it was hers, and when I actually sit in my chair to watch a movie she flops straight onto the ottoman, which she loves more than any other piece of furniture in the living room. She's really good at making me feel guilty when she wants it, so this ottoman is basically hers now. won't break most wallets.
