The remote control buttons, especially the volume controls, do not work well and it is VERY frustrating to try even the simplest controls with it. If you need to turn off the sound or turn off the TV in a hurry, you can go and turn it off because it's faster and more reliable than this remote control. Also, the case makes the remote absolutely UNUSABLE. You must remove it for the remote control to work. I bought this as a spare because my little boy keeps losing remotes and wanted to use a case with a strap to make it easier to keep an eye on him. The rope on the strap broke through the case within a few days, and I managed to pull a piece of string through and tie the remote (not even a joke) to a big yellow bucket just to keep an eye on it. That's only semi-useful though, as you have to remove the remote for it to work, defeating the purpose of having it in a nice case with a strap. Don't buy this unless you like wasting money.
