This is really great. I'm a pretty big audiophile and I usually stay away from BOSE products as I mostly find them overpriced junk. I bought it for a trip my best friend and I wanted to take to Ibiza and I wanted some kind of portable sound that could start a party at the beach or the hotel pool. And that's exactly what this thing did. Even when it was only battery powered, I would fill the whole beach with great music and people would come and have a dance party with us. The remote control is so simple and easy to use that it doesn't matter how many daiquiri bananas you have. You will find out! I wouldn't recommend it for a full house party, but it produces pretty impressive sound for a quiet beach, by a hotel pool, or just on the balcony enjoying the music. The only thing I have with this thing is that I bought it, went to Ibiza, then returned and the iPhone 5 literally came out while I was in Ibiza. It pretty much made this thing obsolete. I'm sure BOSE came out with some kind of adapter to make this easier, but I'm pretty sure it won't have a remote control function. And of course you can always connect it to the AUX socket on the back of the sound dock. I believe BOSE now has a Bluetooth version as well, so I'd recommend just getting it to keep going.
