New life for old torn headphones!

So a few years ago (2012) I received a couple of cans of Turtle Beach Ear Force Tango as a gift. The sound quality on them has always been pretty damn good. But, my God, they were absolute rubbish by just about every other conceivable measure. They were relatively overpriced, the battery life wasn't good enough for all-day gaming sessions, the 10 sound presets to cycle through were confusingly numbered and not just named as intended, the headband seemed for someone with a watermelon designed to have a head (literally leaving about an inch of room on the lowest setting), and even the useless Call of Duty announcer who lived in them got annoying when he insisted on repeating "Battery low!" . every 45 seconds if the indicated battery is really low. Despite all that, they still looked damn cool! After quickly giving up using them, I set them up as a pretty decoration and have sat there ever since. The end of 4K TV after 8 years is just perfect with these headphones. After many years of uselessness due to compatibility issues with PC, PS4, Xbox consoles, various TVs and pretty much everything else in the world. The receiver for these Tangos connects literally immediately after a direct connection to the TV via USB and the original optical cable. Even Bluetooth headphones don't have such a seamless connection, and even the sound quality is better! But Turtle Beach had one last card up its sleeve. As you can see from the photos, the skin-like vinyl they used on Tango ABSOLUTELY SHORT. In fact, one of the cups literally fell apart in my hands and the headband ripped off (only with normal seasonal temperature changes)! But it wasn't easy to dissuade me. I was determined not to waste these damn things even after so many years! That's where this case and ear pads come in (Brainwavz Hybrid Memory Foam Earpad headphones - black polyurethane / velor - suitable for large in-ear headphones - AKG, HifiMan, ATH, Philips, Fostex - https://www.amazon.de) . com/gp/product/B00ZGGG3KY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Adjusting both was a little tricky, especially the sleeves as I also had to add some foam underneath to counteract the aforementioned gap. But in the end I won, and in doing so, I was finally able to take full advantage of these headphones! Not only do they sound great, but for the first time in my life they are really comfortable! At some point I'll definitely be getting the ear pads for my Steelseries Arctis 5 again (they're about the same size) as they're probably the best I've heard. I've used them before and would also recommend this case to anyone who needs to fix a torn headband on any headset they're trying to save from early retirement.
