These dull noise a tiny bit, but in no way are "noise cancelling." I bought them for my daughter who is on the spectrum and sensitive to sound. She does not protest wearing them, so I they are comfortable enough. However, she still acted like sounds were bothering her so I tried them out and was not impressed with their ability to muffle sounds, at all. Therefore, they are not a good value if they do not do what they are intended to do. Save your money and buy and expensive pair that actually work.
