I have two older poodles who are not picky at all. I used to feed them Wellness Core Natural Grain Free for SMALL BREED which they love. Thought I'd switch to the senior brand to see if it made a difference, just my dogs wouldn't eat it on their own at all. They ate it somehow mixed with wet food or pumpkin. Very strange as they like to eat Wellness Core Small Breed dry or wet. The ingredients seem almost the same at first glance, so maybe it's a taste issue? Another thing that comes to mind is that the Senior brand pellets are much larger than the Small Breed ones. So if your dogs have a lot of missing teeth like I do, maybe the Senior brand is too hard to chew? It's a secret. I say if you have an older SMALL dog, stick with the Wellness Core Small Breed brand.
