Review on OpenAthens by Justin Torres

The integration of openathense was seamless, it works well for us because we use ADFS as our auth provider instead of relying upon third party software which made things even easier! There are some features that would be better if they were available in certain browsers (Safari being one). It's not perfect but I don't think there will ever really by an end all answer here either - every organisation has different needs so having something like this out there makes sense from my perspective at least :) We've been able have users access their emails using OA without them needing specific browser plugins etc installed themselves when previously you'd need those additional tools/programs running locally before your email functionality could work properly. This meant less risk too since no new installs needed done just make sure everything checks ok otherwise issues can arise very quickly indeed!! Security wise i'm more confident now knowing where people log into applications rather than looking under seats hoping someone hasn't nicked anything off me ;) Also good news about GDPR compliance with regards information handling practices meaning organisations such as ours who wish comply shouldnt struggle much further along these lines! Would definitely recommend considering going down route initially though do try other options first especially free ones. Our main benefit has come through ease of administration / set up The simplicity of setting up a new user account, granting access, and managing accounts. I would like to be able to set up some additional security measures, such as requiring passwords to change more often than every 7 days. We use OpenAthena in conjunction with ADFS, so we can authenticate users against both OpenAthena and ADFS at once. This has been very convenient for our organization.
