I tried several massage guns before purchasing this one. The biggest problem with these things is that they are not strong enough. When used on your back, you may only feel a slight vibration. But this weapon is really strong. It has multiple modes and I use a few medium settings (level 5) because even on levels 6 and 7 it's too strong for me. But I think someone will use it on higher settings for the back. For the back I would recommend the orange massage head. Ideal for back pain. For me, the massage gun works 10-12 times in a row at vibration level 5.
