Review on CRKT Tool Outdoor Spork Multitool by Kevin Bigelow

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Short metal spork

I bought this "eating tool" more out of curiosity than anything else. I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed with the tool when it arrived because I really wasn't expecting too much. This is a fairly short metal spatula with a bottle opener, screwdriver, allen key and a mini carabiner. It's twice just to try. I used it to eat some chili and it worked fine except I also pierced the chili with my knuckles when loading the spoon, mainly because the "handle" was so short. I tried to eat some chicken noodle soup but it was a disaster. The spoon barely contained the soup, and the noodles were generally impossible to take. If the spoon were a little deeper, there might be enough soup in it that using this tool would be preferable to slurping soup and noodles out of a bowl. Design a can opener instead. I mean who uses a bottle opener these days? Most bottles have screw tops, and there are a few brewers who can only open their bottles with a special bottle opener. And really, allen key? I imagine there will come a time when you will need them to disassemble something around camp, such as a camp stove or lantern, but I don't think the average tourist will have such an opportunity . But whatever, as I always say, it's better to have and not need than to need and not have. Another thought, since CRKT made several holes in this tool, maybe they could line up the holes and make them the same size so you can use the stick as a pen. I gave this "tool" three stars, not because it is not a quality product in terms of materials and workmanship, but because it is very cumbersome and inconvenient to use for eating. Whether you put your finger through the big hole or pinch the "handle" between your thumb and forefinger, eating with this tool is uncomfortable and uncomfortable. BUT. Use this tool instead. I know how CRKT can make a fortune with this tool. Make it pink or real real shiny and sell it as Diet Tool Diet. To be used as a diet tool, the customer MUST agree to eat all of their meals, no matter what the meals are, only use the diet tool, and not eat for more than 15 minutes per meal. Between the small amount of food you can actually eat with the tool and the minimal amount of food you can eat with it in 15 minutes, people using Diet Tool Diet will lose weight in no time!
