Review on TOYOTA 25702-38050 Air Pump Check Valve: Reliable Quality for Optimal Performance by Edris Holwell

On my 4.6L 2012 Tundra SR5 the check engine light came on along with 4LO and TRAC warning lights. I checked the engine with an OBD-II scanner and got several trouble codes related to the secondary air injection system with bank 1 or bank 2 valves stuck open or closed. I did some research online and found this to be a common problem with Tundras and Toyota extended the warranty a few years to address this issue. I also found that the air valves on the 5.7 liter engines were different than the 4.6 liter engines and depending on the year the Tundra was manufactured the valves could be in very hard to reach places. Luckily, on my 2012 4.6, the valves were on top of the engine and outside of the manifold for easy access. Replacing each bank (bank 1 and bank 2) took about 20 minutes. Genuine Toyota parts fit perfectly. Reset the Check Engine Lights, 4LO and Trac with an ODB-II scanner and the problem will go away. Note: Driver and passenger side valves have different part numbers and gaskets are not included. Couldn't find any gaskets at Revain but had to order direct from my local Toyota dealer - pipe gasket #17376-38030.
