Chevy Cruze purge valve

My Chevy Cruze was throwing a code that basically stated I needed to replace the purge valve. I ordered this part to change it at home and it worked great and also has a year warranty. If you know this is the part that is causing you problems, I’d recommend changing it yourself because it’s super easy and this part was inexpensive and good quality.

Worked as expected - my new review

This product was used to replace a faulty part on a 2016 Chevy Sonic. It has worked as expected. Recommend you search for and watch the Youtube videos that show how to install the part. When research the problem with the car, I stumbled on information that indicates that this problem can be caused by topping off your gas tank. It might be a good idea to reconsider topping off your gas tank when getting gas as topping off seems cause problems with more vehicles than our Chevy Sonic. I can't rate

Pros
  • Great product great price
Cons
  • It may not be effective

Great replacement part

Check Engine light came on, Code P0496, Bought this part, it is an exact fit, 5 minute swap.Check Engine light has stayed off since clearing the codes form the computer.Highly recommended as a DIY fix, anyone can do it, it's way cheaper than the mechanic.

Pros
  • Easy to install by a mechanic.
Cons
  • It may leak or malfunction

Very simple to fit on the car , I cleared the CEL and it hasn’t come back.Great value for the money, thankful that parts like this come cheaply since they seem to have to be replaced often on this Chevy Cruze

Pros
  • N/a
Cons

Easy Fix for major issue

Had a code of evap fuel sensor gone bad, difficulty in fueling the vehicle. $300 fix at a shop, this part and a Youtube video on instructions works PERFECTLY! NO tools required a few simple clips and unplug. Perfect fit and flawless operation

  • Easy repair worked great fixed my p0455 code on my 2004 GMC Yukon with a 5.3
Cons

Works. Good Price. Fits 2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71

Works. Good Price. Fits 2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71 most likely cause for EVAP code but to be sure always do the proper tests. Often the issue is intermittent though so it is not always easy to test sometimes the valve works other times it gets stuck open for me I just guessed this is what was happening for the price it was worth saving a little time in doing the testing I thought and as luck would have it I was right. Other potential fixes may be leaky or cracked lines or other faulty parts in the…

Pros
  • Definitely alot easier to put gas in my 04 Avalanche now
Cons
  • It may lower the resale value of your car

Bad quality best in my review

It worked for less than a year and I had to replace it. I would no recommend purchasing car parts off Walmart. That's my review.

Pros
  • Easy install 5 mins
Cons
  • Clip that connects to the intake does not lock into place. Just did not work correctly.

Fixed my car and no rough start on fill up

Just what I needed for my 2013 Chevy Sonic LT 1.4L turbocharged ecotec engine. I noticed when I get a full tank of gas, my car would have a hard time starting up. Also to check if your original emission vapor canister valve is on it's way out or going bad is to remove the original and blow through it. I learned this test from a mechanic on YouTube is to blow through it, if air passes through the canister, it's time to replace it.

Pros
  • Was pretty easy to install under front vortex cover front
Cons
  • It may not be readily available in your area

Worked well on my review.

I installed this in about 10 minutes. The smell from the vapors in the car took a few weeks to dissipate and the check engine light didn't go out for a week or two but it's all better now.

Pros
  • Good product no codes after installation!
Cons
  • It may be a waste of money

Working fine so far

This comes in a plain white box with no markings, so I had some doubts. After a few hundred miles and 3 weeks it seems to be holding up fine. The old one was actually loose and leaking during the test the car computer will do.FYI: If you have these "Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected" codes (P0455, P0422, etc) coming up, the 'cheap guy' sequence is to re-tighten your gas cap & clear the code. If it comes back, replace the gas cap if it is over a couple years old, and clear the…

Pros
  • Seem to have corrected my P0442 error that came intermittently I have a 2015 Sonic with a1.8 L engine
Cons
  • It may require additional maintenance

It is an exact fit!

This piece was an exact fit for my fiance's 2013 Chevy Cruze 1.8L engine. It got rid of her issue with her car not starting after filling up for gas and was very inexpensive. It was a couple of clips and pulling off a sensor, swap it out and done within 5-10 minutes.Definitely worth the money!

Pros
  • Exactly as described and works perfect
Cons
  • It may not be compatible with your car's ECU

Great price: my feedback

Replaced purge valve in my Cruze, great price and shipped fast. Sure beats paying $50 for this part from the auto parts store. Haven't had any issues with it yet.

Pros
  • Fixed my car problem. Used it for a 2016 Chevy Cruze
Cons
  • It may not be the right part for your vehicle

2015 Chevy Cruze - my new review

Daughter put diesel in the tank and after I repaired the issue i got a reading that told me to replace this part. Part came in and the replacement was sooooo easy.

Pros
  • Had to reroute PCV gases and used this new solenoid and hose to complete the job.
Cons
  • It may cause your car to fail an emissions test

works great!: my feedback

It took me 10 minutes to replace the original Vapor Canister Purge Valve Solenoid on my 2002 Buick LeSabre with this new one. Started the car, took it for a drive, noticed smoother running engine. I ran the OBD scan and the results were clean -- no problems. Happy car and happy owner!

Pros
  • Worked like it should
Cons
  • It may not be the solution to your car's problems

Running like new - my new review

My Chevy Cruze 2015 is running like it’s new! Incredible savings! At the dealership in Hawaii this part was $98. Auto parts store it was $58. It took me all of 10 minutes to Replace. So easy! Highly recommended and expedient shipping! Mahalo!

Pros
  • Works for a Chevy sonic hatchback 2015.
Cons
  • It may cause damage to your car's engine

The replacement part fit perfectly on my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LS and was installed by a good mechanic cheaply for about $50 in about 20 minutes without getting under the hood but from the top of the hood. Great replacement part for cheap and the engine light went off immediately after it was installed. It was located in a tough place to replace but its worth the small price to pay .Doc T

Pros
  • Very easy to install. Video attached by Walmart was very helpful.Saved good amount of money.
Cons
  • It may not be worth the effort to install

Availability and reasonable price

I installed this part on a 2003 GMC Yukon 6.0 vehicle. I connected a code reader and the code was there, so I was so glad to see this seller offering this part for vehicles with high mileage. After installation the code was cleared and so far no code has reappeared

Pros
  • Worked
Cons
  • It may cause more problems than it solves

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No more annoying ticking

I replaced this because as the PCM duty-cycled this part, it would make a loud ticking noise. This new part did quiet the vehicle, however there is still EVAP flow during a non-purge event. There could be an additional leak in my evap system on the car, but at this time I am not blaming the part.

Pros
  • Turned off check engine light due to vacuum leak. Easy install.
Cons
  • Cheaply made, doesn't work to it's fullest potential but it gets the job done for now I suppose

Perfect for 2006 Chevy Colorado 5cyl

This worked great it cleared my p0449 code and only took about 10 min to go thru a video on YouTube and another 15 min to get the job done super happy with the purchase , and seller worked for my 3006 Chevy Colorado 4x4 crew cab 5cyl

Pros
  • Buen precio; pero dificil seguir la trayectoria del envio.
Cons
  • It may not be worth the hassle
