Garbage quality, melted and fell apart in an hour.

Looked surprisingly good out of the box, fit pretty well. Too good to be true sadly, the materials used are inferior to the well known high end blankets, and the thread they used to stitch it together melted completely away in only an hour of driving on the street. Literally fell apart. You’d expect a turbo blanket to be able to withstand high heat, but this clearly can not. Spend your money elsewhere.

Pros
  • Fits perfect. I'll see how it holds up in 6 months
Cons
  • The cover may be difficult to clean and maintain

BAD REVIEWS ARE FALSE

Purchased this turbo blanket to find out the real scoop, because the reviews were so conflicting. Just as I thought, negative reviews do not picture this product correctly. To start with, I am not a self proclaimed mechanic, but a highly skilled and trained professional that work on some of the most expensive trucks, hot rods, and boats in my area, and I have been doing this for 38 years. I installed this turbo blanket on a 2004 2500HD GMC Sierra, after a full upgrade of the exhaust and intake…

Pros
  • Great Fit at Great Price. No Issues.
Cons
  • The cover is difficult to install and may require professional help

A Must Have For Hard Working Trucks!

This fits perfectly on the HE351 common to Cummins and others. Combined with the header wrap I noticed an immediate improvement in power. The engine is quieter and the under hood temperatures are WAY lower! I always tow heavy loads and in the heat of summer the turbo produces so much heat it melted my squirrel cage housing for my cab AC which allowed mice inside my ventilation system and reeked havoc!

Pros
  • Great blanket got It on my GT3076r fits perfect even test it buy applying direct heat with a torch
Cons
  • The cover may not work as effectively as other thermal blankets on the market

This DOES fit a LLY Duramax

Although I haven’t got a chance to run my motor yet since I’m still upgrading it, I just wanted to clear up the question that YES, this will fit a stock OEM LLY duramax turbo. That is what I just put it on. A 2004.5 LLY duramax 2500HD. I powder coated the front housing and installed a 10blade whee in it but other then that, it’s all stock turbo. You will have to remove the blanket to get to 2 of the turbo manifold bolts when installing the turbo back on. With that being said. You do not have to…

Pros
  • Work great, look good. I was a little skeptical at first but beyond impressed once I had them installed.
Cons
  • The springs may fail to hold the cover in place, which can result in damage to your engine

This blanket isn't perfect but for the price is amazing

Smh all these people saying it fell apart after driving around for short period of time. that's how they are supposed to be go buy a DEI blanket for $200 and read the waring it comes with. States that once installed and heat cycled it is not to be removed as it shrinks to fit. These are meant to be installed and forgotten. This blanket isn't perfect but for the price is amazing. If you want perfect stitching go pay 200 this blanket perfectly serves its purpose lowering my engine bay Temps, it's

Pros
  • Works great reduced heat in engine room
Cons
  • The cover may cut off airflow to your engine, reducing its performance

Fits Garrett 3076, great value and quality.

Easy install, about 15 minutes. Should have done this immediately after tune. Fit Garrett 3076 perfect, including springs. Big difference in reduction of engine compartment temps. In my case, turbo is 4" from radiator. Before, sitting in summer traffic, even with fans, turbo heat would soak the radiator, resulting in high engine temperature. After install, a significant reduction in heat transfer away from turbo to engine areas. I wrapped the rest of the exhaust with 2" Ledaut tape; happy with…

Pros
  • Good quality, fit good.
Cons
  • The cover may interfere with your engine’s sensors and cause false readings

Garbage after 300 miles

Its completely cooked on the inside, literally disintegrating into dust. Only been on the motor for about 300 gentle break-in miles on a new motor. Turbine housing is also ceramic coated. No way this should've done this.

Pros
  • So far this blanket is holding up very well compared to some others I have tried.
Cons
  • Did not have springs!!!

Works Great: my feedback

This has a inner lining that hopefully won't stick to the turbine. Stitching is more durable than last one I bought at twice the price.

Pros
  • Looks good good dam price
Cons
  • The thermal blanket may interfere with the function of your turbocharger

Great product. Works as described.

Drops under hood temps significantly. Intake temps have decreased too. Using an ir temp gun, I can read an average 100-200 degree F decrease in temperature on surrounding components. Turbo would usually reach 700, but the blanket stays below 250.The figment is a bit off, but I probably should have gone with the t4 size. my mistake.Overall, very satisfied. Worked as well as expected.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • The cover may cause increased vibrations and noise from your engine

The listing said it was 3 " wide, not true .

The listing said it was 3" wide, not true. Maybe if it was stretched with a press. Inside dimension is only 2.25". I was not able to use and will have to try to sell on ebay.

Pros
  • Can’t say much about the heat yet- will update but so far they go on tight and fit well!
Cons
  • Edges charred after only a short time. Would not recommend.

Can’t go wrong for the price

For a 1/4 of the price of a on brand one this is a steal. I installed onto a borg Warner S252SXE T3 turbo on my 2006 STI. got perfect and once it got hit it shrunk to the hot side of the turbo exactly how it should. It did a great job of keeping heat down in the engine bay and away from my AOS.

Pros
  • Did the trick
Cons
  • The cover may cause your engine to run too hot, putting your safety at risk

1993 GMC Typhoon Owner

Junk, spend the money and buy a good one.unless you run low boost and your turbo doesn't get hot (in which case you do not need a blanket). I had this on 1993 GMC Typhoon for just over 1 year at 15psi.

Pros
  • Can’t beat it for the money. I didn’t have any issues with the inside or out. Kept in heat well.
Cons
  • Lasted about a week before it split apart

Used for can am x3 rr

I used it on my can am x3 RR worked great. However it was my fault but one for internal waste-gate would be best, to allow room for waste gate arm.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • The cover may cause rust and corrosion on your turbocharger

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It’s not worth it doesn’t hold heat

Product doesn’t work it’s made of cheap material I took my car out for a test drive n it almost caught on fire it’s trash now after one drive I dnt recommend it at all

Pros
  • As described. No complaints
Cons
  • The cover may require extra hardware to install, adding to the cost

Looks nice but poor quality

Looks nice has a thick layer of wool in it but I had it on my car for maybe 3 weeks ran one event with it and I went to take it off to swap out turbos and it just tore and fell apart.

Pros
  • Nice!
Cons
  • The cover may be too small for some engines, leaving gaps where heat can escape

Works for on Detroit PDI turbo

Good product, springs don’t feel sturdy on the loop but overall good product.Worked well on PDI big boss turbo Detroit 12.7

Pros
  • Provides superior heat shielding for turbocharger components, helping to improve engine performance and reliability
Cons
  • The cover may not be worth the investment, as there are cheaper options available that work just as well

Good value in my review

Fit very nicely over my 6467 Comp Air cooled turbo, does its job. On my current setup it was a little pain to get the exhaust on the hot side of the turbo with the Vband but managed to do it.

Pros
  • Fit nice , I like the color.
Cons
  • The LEDAUT T3 Titanium Turbo Blanket Thermal Cover is a waste of money

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good Quality for the price.

Fit and finish is good. This was installed on a commercial semi truck so will report again after a few months on long term durability. So far benefits seem to be drop in overall boost numbers which equates to slight increase in MPG.

Pros
  • Fit my VS 78/75 .125 perfectly
Cons
  • This turbo blanket does NOT fit the turbo as advertised

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Save your money buy this!

I don’t know why one would pay $150 for a Cobb blanket when this $20 one does the job just fine to my standards. It didn’t burn up which was good and it’s snug as a bug on my turbo.

Pros
  • It is too small for a 2001 Duramax turbo
Cons
  • The cover may cause your engine to overheat if used improperly

This turbo blanket completely met and exceeded my expectations. I ordered it thinking that it was just a cheap alternative to the name brand turbo blankets. But the quality is superb and is comparable to the name brand turbo blankets. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a turbo blanket.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • The cover may cause your engine to overheat and fail completely, resulting in costly repairs
