my clean recording audio straight from my headset during flight. Unfortunately it doesn't work properly. It fits into the GoPro connector but lacks the extra built in resistor and a specific number of pins to allow the GoPro computer to actually toggle the input selector. This can only be done automatically by the device and is not a setting, so only certain cables are suitable. Obviously GoPro has one that's ridiculously overpriced, but Revain has a few that work. Well I know of one anyway as buying this cable was my next attempt to get my headset plan working. Another third-party cable switches the device's audio input from the built-in microphone to an external input. I was disappointed with the outcome of this cable and then again to find that there is an additional charge for returning it upon delivery. Shipping would have cost me about $0.99 or a refund, so I just ate my losses and bought another cable elsewhere. Now the adapter works in general but NOT with GoPro products as advertised. So if your plan doesn't include a GoPro, it might work for you. But these dice are for you to roll. hope this helps you
