Where I live evaporative cooling doesn't work, making matters worse due to the high humidity. When I ordered I expected the phase change gel to be similar to the phase change gel in pet cooling pads, but it is not. Ice packs are nothing more than ice packs, which technically represent a "transition from solid to liquid ice". I wear a 2x shirt and the vest fits like XL. If I had known that "phase transition" packs were nothing more than ice packs, I would have ordered one of the cheaper (and more accurately described) ice pack-only vests.
