Bought for a tablet that I know will be used indoors and out daily. I used to have otters on all my phones and tablets and was worried this device wouldn't have them. I'm glad I did and bought it the day after I received the device. It appears to be fully protected from drops and scratches as this case has a built-in screen protector. Others complain about the attached case and stand, but ignore them if you're really concerned about nothing happening to the device. This will be the last case you buy for your Tab 8.4. The stand is of the quality you would expect from an Otterbox. High quality. It shows no signs of weakness and will withstand pretty much anything you may have to deal with both on the field and indoors.
