We ordered a large coat for our 45lb lab mix and were initially very pleased. It fit perfectly, was easy to put on and take off and kept our boy warm and dry. We got him a coat for Christmas and at the end of January one of the velcro straps started to come loose. It looked like it could be sewn back on so don't worry. Then I washed it per directions (cold, gentle cycle, drain) in early February and it fell apart completely. The velcro has come loose and both sides of the coat have separated where the red meets the black. At first it seemed like the perfect coat, but it's not cut well. It should have been over a month.
