The T5i has some new features compared to the T3i that I have. I don't know T4i. I have been a Canon user for many years and will continue to be. Even before I bought the camera, I was fascinated by the RESIZE function. For an in-camera high-JPEG, you can resize it in a new file and keep the original for emailing. Great feature because it saves a lot of time compared to a computer. Another feature that I suspect will be very popular is the LCD touchscreen. You can change the settings by activating regular watch faces etc. or you can just use the LCD and click on what you want to change. My camera is brand new so I haven't tried this feature yet, but I saw it on a tutorial DVD I bought. It's a bit lighter and has a slightly rubberized finish to make it easier to hold the camera. One of the most important features is that the standard lens has been upgraded to a much thinner one. Focusing is very quick. The built-in flash has also been improved. This camera fulfills everything you need. Unless, of course, you're willing to pay around $2,000 for one. I'm happiest with mine. As I said, I haven't used it much yet, but from my experience so far, it's a dream come true. Not a single complaint.
