Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Enhanced Canon PIXMA G4210 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One Inkjet Printer by Justin Hines

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great printer - will never go back to cartridges - fast, super cheap with ink (refills included) - loved it

excellent results and pictures (I was using Canon glossy photo paper at the time) I switched to Epson when he died a few years ago. Epson WF 4730 and most recently when the WF4740 died (which also just died) I decided to go back to Canon. I LOVE the Megatank system. This printer takes up quite a bit of space compared to the Epson we just replaced. It seems a lot more efficient with ink, and the replacement bottles are really reasonable (Revain paints are only $11 each, and a bit more for the black ink, which is a big bottle). Text prints quickly and colors are crisp. Haven't tried the photos yet but will update my review if I try to print them. The only things I have with this printer are a few things. First, the LCD screen is small and doesn't light up, making it virtually useless. But after buying several printers over the years, I realized I'll never use malware from a printer company ever again. I am using a printing application on my Imac or Windows computer. Much more accessible and works better with less headache. And second, the fold-out worktop MUST be open when printing. That's good and bad at the same time. Annoying when you're in another room and want to print and forgot to open the panel first (the panel can be left in the front position to always print, or just slide it out when you want to print something. Well, that the control panel is must be open when i leave the printer cover on the printer and someone from another room wants to print (and they didn't open the control panel first) the printer doesn't print and it jams because the printer cover is wide open Works well on this all-in-one "Haven't tried faxing yet, and anyway. Who needs to fax anyway. I scan and email every document. I've been through with Epson for a long time. The best thing about Epson is the printing speed. That's it as far as excellence goes, Canon has been a great machine so far, either Canon or Epson are not only quick to use but also a lot easier to set up the Dr uckers, so after owning this printer less than 2 weeks (but we use (or very little of it as my wife and I are both working from home during the coronavirus lockdown) I can say I highly recommend this AIO to everyone would recommend to anyone looking for a great, fast, versatile printer that's also efficient with ink. I used to hate running out of ink and having to run to the office store or order ink online only to spend around $38 on a small Epson color cartridge. The whole set of 3 colors with black costs about $125. insanely expensive. This computer comes with 3 color ink bottles (enough to fill each of the 3 colors once) and 3 slightly larger black bottles (one full and 2 extra bottles included). I read all the Consumer Reports reviews online when I signed up and many of them pointed to cheaper Brother or HP models. The problem with the Brother printer they recommended (with the ease of use of the ink) was that the reviews said the color printed paper looked very dull and light. So the "efficiency" of using ink on Brother. Not so with this Canon. Colors are superb on plain, bright white paper. You definitely get what you pay for here. A premium AIO printer with a refillable tank that does everything very well, including saving on ink costs (and conveniently storing extra bottles for refills when needed). Spend a little more now on the superb Canon G7020 but save in the long run. I hope this helps anyone who has doubts about which printer to buy. I know I've spent hours researching the best printer in the world, even with consumer reviews online. Yes, and the printheads (one for color and one for black and white) slide in easily once set up, meaning they should be easy to swap out if needed. I hope I don't have to be long. Just buy this printer. I can't imagine that you will regret it. I also bought a NON-Canon product which I also recommend. Comp Bind's translucent printer cover is great. It is specially designed for this printer and protects the printer from dust and debris when not in use. I firmly believe that using a cover will also extend the life of your printer.
