Review on Power Up Your DIY Projects With Bostitch 3-Tool Air Compressor Combo Kit (BTFP3KIT) by Swami Alcaraz

Great compressor for the handyman

Unless you set up camp on a jobsite for months this is all you need. It will not keep up with a framing gun, but it can run two brad or finish guns just fine. It is light and easy to deploy and collapse back. I have owned these compressors for the better part of twenty years and none have ever failed me. They work when it is freezing cold(-20F) or when it is hot (100F). They are loud and sound like they'll explode at any second. But they won't and they are work horses. I have watched many work mates get more expensive versions of these pancake compressors only to have them fail in a year or so. These compressors go for years. My first lasted ten years, I have one at work that is seven years old and going strong still. I bought another for a dedicated home compressor. Just remember, it is small and it is only capable of so much. You need air tools or a framing gun, buy more CFM and tank capacity.

Pros
  • Air Compressors & Inflators
Cons
  • High risk of electrocution without proper professional training

I bought the 3 tool combo kit for my trim and baseboard around the house. Previous homeowner left gaps around every window and the stink bugs are out of control.Originally bought the quiet Kobalt compressor and a finish nailer at Lowes for over $300, but I returned it immediately upon seeing this deal. 3 x $150 guns and a compressor for $269? Ok so it doesn''t come with hard cases and the compressor is louder (not that bad, I''ve heard worse) but so what. For homeowner purposes it''ll spend most of it''s time in storage anyway.
