Love this as a travel coffee maker

Sending this to our hotel to use when traveling as the hotel didn't have a coffee maker. We were very pleased with how well it works and how convenient the metal coffee pot is for on the go versus the glass one. Before use, run a pot of water through the pot before brewing the first pot of coffee. Delicious coffee brewed and kept hot. This is a very simple coffee maker - just add a cone filter and fill it with coffee, pour water into the back, plug in the coffee pot and turn on the toggle switch. I don't think he beeped when it was done, but you can hear him stop cooking. I was afraid there would be a metallic aftertaste, but we didn't notice any weird taste at all. Although it was quite difficult, we packed it in our hand luggage and took it home (keep the plastic bag, instructions and 1 piece of cardboard packed between the tea and coffee maker; we left the box with the product at the hotel) . We had no problems with TSA on our flight home. We bought about 1/3 lb of coffee and ground it at the store which cost about $3 and lasted the two of us for 2 days (2 cups each morning). ). If you're taking this on a flight I'd recommend bringing a few packets of sugar/cream, a scoop or spoon and a couple of mugs for hot drinks as needed. When I check my bag, I also grab a coffee (TSA doesn't want you to pack more than 12 ounces of powder: just being a little earlier gave me extra time to unpack my TSA bag to clean it of explosives). As other reviewers point out, the coffee maker's cord is quite short. If your hotel room has a vanity table or coffee bar with an outlet nearby, this will work just fine. Otherwise, you can use an extension cord. My only problem is with Revain. Revain offered the option of putting the product's box inside another box, but were unable to do so so it was shipped in the box that the product was pictured on.
