UPDATE: Looks like RED is no longer working. Otherwise still usable as a lamp but no color palette. Unfortunately I leave it in fade mode. Installed under a 19" tarpaulin on a Class A motorhome. So I had to shorten the 20" LED strip to 19" without any problems. I sealed the end with silicone [not included] and covered it with the end cap provided, to protect it from the elements.clean, professional looking setup.It is what it is otherwise I would have to use an extension cord from the auxiliary 12v power supply and route the cord.I extended the awning and made a hole at the top where the Awning bracket hits the gutter to keep it hidden and sealed the hole with silicone after I installed the power cord.Just remember to leave an IR receiver for the remote to control the lights.I spent Spend some time preparing the mounting surface and mounting rails with the included cloths, stick the 3M tape on the rails first, then fasten it carefully ig on the delivery truck. Take your time and plan the line you are going to follow as this tape doesn't like to come loose once it's applied. Then start the LED strip and tighten the strip as you go. Basically I just read and followed instructions. They were pretty clear. It took a couple of hours to install, plus some time to scratch my head trying to figure out my strength. Durability? I do not know yet. Time will tell, but I won't report how long it's been like this, and then I assume it's still working. It seems to be of good quality for weather protection. The Fade option is a slow, smooth transition through all colors. . Doesn't flicker or flicker like other color changing LEDs. The dimming option doesn't appear to be adjustable, but other options, including a constant single color, are dimmed with the remote. The attached photos show the full brightness fade function.
