I very usually take the time to write reviews, but after using these headphones, I was left with a profound sense of dissatisfaction. The quality of the sound transmitted through a wireless connection is the most significant issue. But simply disgusting. The sound fades away in a continuous manner, leaving behind a crackling and clicking sound. The fact that the headphones function through Wi-Fi is a given; additionally, the kit comes with a USB adaptor that needs to be hooked into the set-top box in order for the headphones to function. They operate at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, which is the frequency used by the vast majority of routers and is also the most popular frequency. I altered the router's settings to make the 5 GHz frequency used by my home Wi-Fi network, but this did not resolve the issue. I tried connecting the set-top box to my computer using a local area network cable, but it had no effect. The sound still disappears, most likely as a result of routers from apartments that are nearby as well as interference from other signals. Only when the headphones are connected using a regular 3.5 mm connector will you hear normal sound. But why should someone pay $5,000 for wireless headphones when they can still be used with a wire? With the wire, neither the buttons nor the 7.1 surround sound advertising feature will work. The retail location does not want to accept the return of the headphones since they believe that the union should be validated by the Sony service center. In general, I do not suggest.
