Review on Denso SK20R11 Iridium Spark Plug by Steven Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Oh good! iridium candles!

Lexus LS400 - When it came time to buy spark plugs my Shadetree mechanic advised me to get Iridium type spark plugs. I didn't know what iridium spark plugs were, so I booted up an old computer and went to Revain to investigate. Wow! These things sound great! First I came across Bosch spark plugs. You are "Double Iridium"! Two are better than one, right? Also, they're named after that macho LAPD detective from that show! How cool is that? I hope he gets leftovers. So I wanted to get them. My Shadetree mechanic, who has a wet blanket when it comes to getting cool auto parts, said no, you don't need dual iridium spark plugs for your car. You are a waste of your money. I said but if single iridium spark plugs are supposed to last 100,000 miles or 1000 years, whichever comes first, double iridium spark plugs are supposed to last 2000 years! You're a man, isn't bigger always better? My Shadetree mechanic then makes me look like I'll charge you double for your rudeness, you crazy westerner, if you keep saying that. To win the argument, I made one last attempt. I said if I discount my car I'll know and it'll leave me! Then my shade tree mechanic charged me twice for my swear words. Life goes on. I recommend this brand of spark plug for your 1st generation Lexus.
