Much better than a cone!

My Australian Shepherd has been spayed and is very docile so I needed something comfortable to keep her from licking. I find plastic cones just plain cruel. He could twist the pillow so the two ends were in front and then he could reach it, but luckily he's not a big slime so all I had to do was tell him no and he stopped. He couldn't reach if the "seam" or Velcro was at the back. And it mattered how puffed up he was. The very slight difference in stiffness made a big difference in how well it stayed in place and how well it kept it off seams. You can also adjust this with the Velcro. It has a few holes in it from my Sheltie, who is quite annoyed with my Aussie's energy and constant play instinct. But since the lid is removable I just took the liner out and put some clear tape on it and that patched it. It landed at the seam on the second hole, so I greased the E6000 hole and sealed it with tape. It went through the entire healing process and the coating washed out beautifully. I saved the box and packed it for future use as the large fits my Shelties (45 and 50lbs - yes they are big for Shelties) and my 55lb Aussie.
