So, first things first. The mount works as advertised and is actually of decent quality. Better than I expected for the price. Now for the many problems. First, the monitor only adjusts by about 4 to 6 inches because they chose to just place the mounting holes at dead center. But by simply adding holes to the top and bottom of the mount, you can easily increase travel by 12-14 inches. The second big problem. This is for attaching a VESA monitor to a VESA mount, but this dumb thing only comes with 4 screws for each diameter. For this application you ALWAYS need 8 screws. Luckily I had them. But if you don't, you have to buy 4 screws just to use this one. Third, the 4 screws they REALLY go for are just one length. As you can see from my photos they are too long. I had to replace the plastic spacers and washers to make up the difference. (also not included). Nut bolts would also be too short for many other monitors. (Holders usually contain 3 lengths of each diameter. This is only half the amount needed for one size). Eventually, the bracket will only move in one direction and the ratchet will engage. To adjust the height you need to slide the monitor all the way up to reset the ratchet. Then you can move it back down. And if you move it too far. Guess what's back. Even if I had problems, I would buy it again. There is quality. However, note that you will need to provide your own screws and may need to drill holes in them to get the full range of motion.
