I have two sets of Koss Porta-Pros and both have been game changing. I HATE headphones or other earbud devices. They make my ear canals itch, burn with pain and my anxiety goes up a notch. I don't think I'm allergic to silicone/plastic, but something is wrong. They are amazing in that some ambient noise can still be heard. So if you are in a danger zone, you can still detect nearby dangers. (Traffic, forklifts, etc.) The sound is still very clear, as is the bass. So far I only had to repair the foam of the ear cup. My body oils tend to break down cheap lather quickly. They are very cheap to replace but annoying. The speaker's plastic frame has really sharp attachment points that tend to tear through the old foam and make it difficult to properly install the new foam. I would also recommend buying a thicker foam edge and just swapping that out from the start. Revain recommended the perfect set for my second purchase.
