Only useful to a limited extent for the beginning.

I bought this to fix my daughter's 2012 iPad 4. It arrived on time and was well packaged. This is where the good ends. Background: I've been working to fix these devices and have never had problems like this. With the experience of repairing these devices, I did everything right, right down to removing the old one. I ended up erasing everything since I swapped out the batteries at the same time. After everything was pulled out, I made sure to repair the dents in the corners as they could cause problems when using the touchscreen later. I installed the battery, reinstalled all the components. The screen went in easily enough. Once the cables were in place I installed the LCD and tested the touchscreen, full screen mode didn't work so I tried reconnecting the touchscreen cables and retesting with little improvement. I did that a few times to make sure it wasn't my fault. I've had issues in the past where the screen wouldn't fully work unless it was fully installed, so I proceeded with placement without glue. no improvement. But I was still hoping that maybe a full application of glue could bring me a miracle. So I glued it to the iPad and heated the edges just enough to activate the glue. Then I put a weight on the screen and let it stick for the next 30 hours. When I turned on the iPad, I found the same touchscreen issues, but the glue seemed to work. While waiting for another screen to appear, I played around with the current one hoping it would start working, which is the opposite of what happened. Not only did the rest of the screen stop working, but the adhesive also came through. Yeah, so it was a complete disaster. 0 stars if possible. The tools were helpful.
