Update: I used my last protector and it was still too bubbly. This product caused me too much stress. I bought this screen protector because I wanted my iPad to have a scratch resistant layer without the thickness of the tempered glass screen protector. The product came with a thick paper card, a cloth and three screen protectors (although my postman left it folded in half in my mailbox!). INSTALLATION: The first attempt was made on my desktop. Unfortunately, a screen protector is a giant piece of plastic that attracts every particle of dust from front to back. This made the application extremely complex. Armed with duct tape, I sat there for an hour trying to remove every speck of dust that appeared. As soon as I put the protector on, it started attracting more dust. The finished product was a bubble mass. The second application test was carried out indoors with metal floors, no wind and no fibers. I went through the same painstaking process of removing every speck of dust before applying. I still have blisters, but a tolerable amount of blisters. The trick is to get the protective film on the iPad quickly, because once the protective film layer is peeled off, there is a race between you and the dust particles. I'm sure if I used a third screen protector I would have fewer blisters. USE: I chose clear over matte because I love the display and feel of the iPad, and aside from the dust bubbles underneath, the clarity is average. If you look at the screen at an angle, a rainbow effect appears. I didn't think I'd mind, but my eyes got tired after writing a few notes. The screen is also a bit slippery when writing. It doesn't bother me on slow typing (because I type slower when typing), but it's very noticeable on fast typing. CONCLUSION: I like how thin the protection is because if I just look at an area with no bubbles, it feels like there's nothing on the screen at all. However, I'm tempted to use the latest screen protector to try and get the perfect fit. For $8 I could buy 3 more 3 packs for the price of the "famous" matte screen protector. I'm just not sure I want to go through the horrible installation process again. You may like this screen protector if you just unpacked your iPad and immediately put on the screen protector before dust gets on the screen. I recommend installing this protection in a humid place to avoid static electricity. (Update: I installed it in a damp place on the third try and it still has too many bubbles in my opinion. I took the iPad to my desk to take photos and now it's covered in dust again. ) I'm starting to think the immunity of the protective glass is worth this ugly bubble spectacle.)
