These plugs work very well. 2 packs of Atwood usually cost twice as much, but for some reason it's a great deal. It's always nice to be able to buy OEM replacement parts that you know will work and fit right the first time without any adjustments or modifications. For those whose hot water tank has damaged threads, like ours that are causing a small leak, you can fix the leak with a new plug wrapped in standard Teflon tape used on plumbing fixtures. Just make sure it is suitable for drinking water and can handle the temperature of your aquarium. I know you probably don't drink your hot water, but it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the health of my loved ones.
