Works exactly as expected. Requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included. I checked my temperature with a regular oral thermometer and then this and the temperatures were the same so I think it's pretty accurate. The device beeps when it's turned on and beeps when you take a temperature, but the instructions tell you how to turn off the beeper if you have a sleeping baby or other need for silence. There is also a guide on how to use it as an ear thermometer but I didn't understand it. something needs to be removed. That doesn't bother me because I bought it as a head thermometer and it's perfect for that. The package includes a warranty card and a quality certificate that includes the date of manufacture and a three-year validity period. Overall I think this is a good quality product and the accuracy and ease of use make it a great buy.
