I use HTC Vive shortly after launch and in VR headsets with Oculus DK1 ... I'm just used to the mesh door and others Imperfections that have always been just a part of the experience. Now that MSFS2020 supports VR and I'm about halfway to getting my pilot's license, I've been spending a lot of time with the Vive. It was a great experience, but not being able to read instruments without bending down, or having to bend down to read the GPS, was doable but frustrating. I discovered the Reverb G2 through a curious search for "highest resolution VR headsets" and was shocked to realize that it wasn't just a small upgrade, it was a huge upgrade in terms of pixels per eye, and that the price was not obscene . in comparison. I read the reviews and was really torn, my rig has a 1070 GTX so it's only running at half resolution... graphics card prices are crazy right now... but I took a chance. Well I'm very, very glad I did. Although I have to dial down some quality settings outside of the cockpit, the inside of the cockpit is absolutely beautiful now. I can read my sensors, I can set my altimeter without having to bend down and close an eye to see the fine print... and even better clarity with lower graphics settings off the plane, everything looks better. Your main goal is to get rid of the screen door effect without destroying your wallet. 10/10 recommend.
